Using GeoGebra to support Math 8 learnersUsing GeoGebra in your classroom provides students with a digital learning tool that promotes active learning and student engagement. When students are learning to graph two-variable linear equations they need to practice graphing skills and build on algebra skills previously learned in Grade 7. GeoGebra provides opportunities for students to practice necessary graphing skills digitally, which is much less onerous task than using paper, pencil, and ruler. It allows students to quickly see what happens when they manipulate coordinate values on a graph for example. They also have fun exploring new concepts because of the interactive nature of using GeoGebra.
