Learn how students can graph ordered pairs using GeoGebra
GeoGebra is an excellent tool that students can use to practice plotting coordinates on a graph. GeoGebra allows students to show the position of ordered pairs on a graph, where the first number (x) represents that horizontal value, and the second number (y) represents the vertical value.
As well, students can review the quadrants in which points appear for both positive and negative values. To use GeoGebra: 1) go to the website www.geogebra.org 2) click on "Start Creating" 3) click on the point tool 4) type the order pair in brackets and press return 5) students should try using both negative and positive values. |
