Hello and welcome to our tutorial. I am a math teacher in beautiful Whistler, BC. I am so excited to share GeoGebra with fellow teachers. GeoGebra is an amazing tool which provides students the opportunity to visualize, manipulate and experience math. As illustrated in this tutorial, GeoGebra is a perfect complement to all grade levels. The only limit to GeoGebra, is your imagination - so get ready to play!

Hello,
GeoGebra was a new learning adventure for me very recently. I was quickly impressed with how well I could find connections between what I was teaching in math and the explorations my students could make using the program. I teach mathematics through the lens of 'Where would we see this math in the real world? What careers or everyday situations call for each math concept? In short, the idea that math is everywhere! This program allows these connections to be built and explored along with direct skill instruction and practice. I currently teach in Calgary, Alberta at an Elementary school level. I hope you enjoy! |

Welcome to our tutorial, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did creating it! My name is Ana and I am a Math teacher who has been planning, developing, delivering and teaching online Math courses in Ontario as well as teaching high school Math in the UK. My academic background is in Applied Mathematics with a Specialist in integration of ICT in instruction. I was introduced to GeoGebra (GG) first in 2008, while teaching in the UK, and I have used it along with other similar products. I love that GG is free, open-source, and it comes with many OERs and a thriving community of practice. Join in.

Hi,
I am one of the authors of this GeoGebra tutorial and would like to welcome you to our site. I live in Fort St. John, BC and work in the Careers Department at our local secondary school as well as instruct math courses. Our group is very excited to share this learning tool with you and hope you find it a useful teaching resource. As a secondary school math teacher, I value digital tools that promote active learning for students. Students benefit from "playing" with math manipulatives from K - 12 and this application provides students with a digital math "sandbox". |
