Ongoing Assessment
Assessment through observation, conversation and artifacts is key during the unit of study. Artifacts can be collected from GeoGebra and discussed with other students and/or the teacher.
GeoGebra activities could be used as extension practice and completed at home or school. Assessment of this practice could be class discussions the following day with formal or informal feedback.
Peer feedback on solving tasks and challenges would be beneficial. For example, students could be asked to list 5 symmetrical objects. Their partner could then apply strategies such as reflection to confirm or disprove the suggested objects.
Self-assessment throughout can be done in a variety of ways such as exit slips or question of the day activities.

Summative Assessment
A formal summative assessment could be administered for students to demonstrate their understanding of the variety of learning outcomes for symmetry.
